Retroarch gpsp forwarder cia7/28/2023 ![]() I found a unmolested firmware for my flash cartridges so that it doesn't matter what date is showing on the 3DS.it just boots into the GBA menu and from there you open YSMenu.ds and you'll get the full glory of being able to play your entire GBA library. Yes.I'm using one of the cheapshit R4i cards that are clones. I know I have the latest CIA of it installed as well as the \retroarch directory required with all of the cores and other files necessary to run it, and no emulator core will run on my system without it crashing and shutting off. RetroArch on the N3DS XL is a heaping pile of garbage and does not work properly on it at all.I've tried ROMs for everything from Atari 2600 up to the SNES and every time I launch the game the system black screens and says "press A to dump the contents of the memory to flash or any other button to shut down the system" and then the entire N3DS just cuts power. If I can get that straightened out there'd be no need to have TM installed on my system and I could isolate all of my ROMs to the flash cart and keep the internal card for 3DS only titles. Technically, even though all 3 cards are different colors (I have the white 2019 R4 SDHC RTS card, a gold 2020 R4 Gold RTS, and now a blue 2020 R4 card that I haven't even opened up yet) but none of those cards are listed in the types of cards you can use and I'd bet internally that each PCB is the exact same and all 3 cards are the exact same and even use the same firmware downloaded from the same clone website. nds titles just fine especially because of YSMenu, but can't get Twilight Menu to start up from the card since there is a huge folder with 15-20 different kinds of flash carts that can be used to copy the files over to the flash cart micro SD card and my cards aren't listed. If I knew how to properly setup my flash cart to load Twilight Menu from it I would launch it that way but as of right now I can't figure out which files need to be copied over to the card since I have a few R4 SDHC RTS 2019/2020 clone cards that run. I have the GBA BIOS.bin file loaded on the micro SD card and have removed GBARunner2 from the card entirely but for some reason it still defaults to Spirit Tracks and there is no way that you can change the game from within Twilight Menu. Oh I already have it.and I do realize it's not that reliable but as of right now I have no way of changing which ROM is loaded into Twilight Menu on my N3DS XL because it shows slot 1 as empty and slot 2 as Spirit Tracks and there is no button I can press to change which ROM is loaded up because something broke during the update. I can't figure it out for the life of me. It would also allow me to keep my ROMs off of the internal micro SD card and reserve it all for 3DS game storage.Īt one point I had GBARunner2 working from within TwilightMenu on the N3DS XL but as of right now it's stuck on Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks and there's no arrow or way of switching which ROM I want to load up.yet Spirit Tracks plays just fine. I can already modify the firmware files now to remove the timebomb so at least that's something I'll never have to worry about, but as of right now it's looking like TW running off of my flashcart is going to be the best bet. ![]() Right now I'm looking into Twilight Menu running off of my flashcarts and because they're clones it's difficult to determine which sets of files need to be copied over and then started from YSMenu. Right now I can't even get gpSP to work in RetroArch because it black screens every time I try to launch a game and that's with the official GBA BIOS file in place. I've grabbed that directory and while it does have the best of the best just about, I'd rather find either the entire no-intro GBA set VC injected or a way of getting better performance with emulation on the N3DS XL. I have no idea why the Vita can fire it up so quickly when the N3DS takes almost a minute to boot up because both have quad-core ARM processors that run at least at 1ghz, but that's another discussion entirely.Īnybody have some ideas for mass conversions of GBA ROMs over to installable CIAs for my 3DS or am I stuck having to use GBARunner2 with TM ? Thank you in advance. Are there any projects that can be run via powershell or command line that will just convert all of my GBA ROMs even without screwing with the icons and just leaving the as default blank cartridges so that I can get all of my games installed? I plan on using 3DSBank to create multiple pages for all of my games to bypass the 300 icon limit of the home screen, and I would have used RetroArch but RA has always run like complete garbage on any 3DS, even my N3DS XL. the Twilight Menu GBARunner 2 option due to compatibility and speed issues. I know all about how to use the Ultimate VC Injector tool and it works great but it takes quite a bit of effort and right now I would prefer to use original emulation vs.
